Meet Tiny Tim

Tiny Tim was found wandering the streets of Houston and turned over to an animal shelter. JCCARE found him there and rescued him just four days before Christmas.

Tiny Tim has no use of one of his back legs and his good leg has a severely luxating patella. Tim needs to have his back legs fixed to have a chance at a normal life.

His surgeries will be expensive but we know that the Japanese Chin community will reach out to help raise the funds to have his legs fixed.

Other Ways To Help...

  • Visit our Sanctuary page and read about the Chin who are in our permanent care. If you would like to contribute to their care, please use the donation button on that page.
  • You can become a member of JCCARE. Your membership helps support all of our Chin. Please visit our membership page for more information.
  • Know a senior looking to adopt a dog? Help spread the word about our Old Friends senior-to-senior adoption program.

How to Identify a Japanese Chin

Sue Taylor, a JCCARE representative, put together the following to help people differentiate between Japanese Chin and the breeds with which breeds they are often confused.
